Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Slovenia, IOM covers different areas of intervention, such as refugee resettlement and relocation, assisted voluntary return and reintegration, and family reunification.

Mediterranean Mixed Migration Flows Compilation Report for June 2018
The Flows Compilation Report - June 2018 demonstrates that:
- 58,357 arrivals to Europe were reported between January and June 2018, almost half of the 105,197 reported in the same period 2017
- Arrivals in the second quarter of 2018 doubled compared to the first quarter of the year, from 18,956 between January and March to 39,401 registered from April to June
- The Eastern Mediterranean route is the most frequently used path to Europe; 40% of migrants and refugees crossed land and sea borders from Turkey to Greece
- The highest number of sea arrivals at the end of June was still through the Central Mediterranean route followed closely by the Western Mediterranean
Arrivals to Bosnia and Herzegovina this year increased from 352 reported at the end of the second quarter of 2017 to 8,034 registered at the end of June 2018 (read more here).
