IOM Slovenia, National Institute for Public Health Host National Consultative Committee on Migration Health
Slovenia – On Thursday, 21 April 2016, a National Consultative Committee (NCC) on migration health was held in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The NCC in the framework of the first component of the Re-Health Project was organized by IOM Slovenia and hosted by the National Institute for Public Health.
The NCC focused on Slovenia as a country under increased migratory pressure and its response to health-related challenges. The consultation was an opportunity for relevant stakeholders to present existing health projects in the country that are supported by the European Commission, as well as the available health care for vulnerable groups and issues of health equity.
Relevant stakeholders from the different ministries and public institutes, as well as international organizations and local NGOs took part in the consultation.
