IOM participated in an online event on distance learning for vulnerable adult learners

 

IOM Slovenia joined an online event on distance learning for vulnerable adults organized by Adult Education Centers Jesenice and Zasavje on 24 November 2022. The event outlined results of a project implemented by Adult Education Centers Jesenice and Zasavje which aimed to enhance accessible distance learning opportunities for vulnerable adult learners, including migrants.

 

In a video address, Jobst Koehler, Head of the Integration and Migrant Training Unit at IOM, emphasized the importance of quality and accessible life-long learning programs for migrant inclusion. Adriana Aralica, Head of IOM Slovenia presented the Includ-EU project and pilot activity on enhancing digital skills of migrants, emphasizing the importance of digital inclusion for social inclusion of migrants.

 

The organizers of the event presented methodology for distance learning for adult learners and reflected on the results and findings of the project, emphasizing the importance of accessible adult education programs for strengthening social cohesion.
