Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Slovenia, IOM covers different areas of intervention, such as refugee resettlement and relocation, assisted voluntary return and reintegration, and family reunification.

Invitation to the National Stakeholder Meeting on the Protection of Migrant Children
IOM will hold the first stakeholder meeting of the regional IOM project Protecting Children in the Context of the Refugee and Migrant Crisis in Europe on 8 March 2017 in the City Hotel in Ljubljana. The purpose of the meeting is to present the project to local stakeholders, to identify child protection gaps in the context of migration and to discuss the child protection standard operating procedures and prevention of sexual and gender based violence. In addition, the needs for capacity building of front line workers with particular emphasis on the enforcement of child safeguarding standards will be analyzed together with partner organizations.
